A little bit about us

New (soon-to-be) parents to Hunter Grace, expected to arrive on November 1! We moved to Barnhart, MO, in the Spring of 2022 from Nashville and Denver previously. However, my husband grew up in Oakville, and his parents are still nearby in their family home, along with his sister and her family in Arnold. We have a 6-year-old Husky-Shepherd Mix (approximately 50lbs) that is sweet as can be... she loves people, babies, and other animals of all kinds.

My husband and I are both senior leaders in our respective industries: I am in Marketing, and my husband is in Finance & Accounting. We both work from home and have somewhat flexible schedules; I tend to travel for work at least once per month.

Since my husband & I both work-from-home and have somewhat flexible schedules, we are fluid in our requirements w/r/t days of the week and times. We would be looking for around the time our newborn is 4-6 months old, so perhaps other children no older than 3 years old would work best but candidly, I have no idea!

If it's preferred that we host, that's completely fine, but any kiddos will need to be comfortable with a 50lb (super sweet!) female dog in the home. Our home is 3 levels — the basement is where my husband's home office is located along with a gym, home theatre, and living area; the main level includes our master bedroom, kitchen, dining room, hearth room, living room, and reading room... this is likely where most time would be spent with the kids; and the 2nd level includes two guest rooms, Hunter's room, and my home office.

What is an Infant Nanny in Barnhart, MO

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Barnhart, MO? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
