A little bit about us

Hello! My name is Brooke and I’m married to my husband, Bryce. We have been married for almost 3 years and recently built our first home in a subdivision outside of Moscow Mills, MO. We are now expecting our first child in March, and will be looking for in-home child care starting in July 2025 for our baby who would be about 3 months. We have 2 small dogs. Both are well trained and will mostly not be the responsibility of our nanny. My dogs spend most of the day in the office with me. I currently work from home almost exclusively, with an occasional in office day (maybe once a month). My husband has a seasonal job, and is off from around November through March each year. During this time, we would not need full time care. We could discuss options for this. However, from April through October, it would be Monday - Friday for 8-9 hours. Start/end times are flexible but typically 7 or 8am to 4 or 5pm. Our neighborhood has a pool that will be available for use during the summer.

We do plan to have more children in the future so are hoping to find someone we can build a long term relationship with and have around for years to come.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Moscow Mills, MO? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
