A little bit about us
Hi there!
We’re a friendly family of four in Hoboken looking for a kind, energetic nanny to help us in the afternoons with our two kids—a curious 2-year-old girl and a playful 4-year-old boy. Both parents work from home, and we’re hoping to find someone who can take the lead and keep the kids engaged.
What a typical day looks like:
You’d pick up our daughter from daycare around 2:30–3 PM, bring her home, give her a snack, and keep her happily engaged—playtime, books, or heading to the park (which is right next door, so super easy!).
Our son usually gets home around 3:45 PM (we typically handle pickup, but may need occasional help). Some days he has after-school activities, and we may need help with drop-offs or pickups depending on our schedules.
Once both kids are home, it’s mostly about keeping them engaged, safe, and having fun.
We’d also appreciate help with:
• Preparing a simple dinner for our daughter
• Tidying up kids’ play areas and toys
• Kids’ laundry once a week
Hours & Pay:
• Weekdays, ~2:30/3 PM to 5:30/6 PM
• 15–20 hours per week
• $18–$22/hour depending on experience and fit
• Occasional flexibility for longer days if needed
You’d be a great fit if you:
• Have experience with toddlers
• Are warm, patient, and proactive
• Enjoy engaging with kids (not just supervising!)
• Can provide 2 references
• Are comfortable with parents working from home
• Speak English, Hindi, or Telugu
Why families like working with us:
• Predictable weekly schedule with guaranteed minimum hours
• Respectful, easygoing household (no micromanaging)
• Park right next door for easy outings
• Long-term opportunity for the right fit
We’re really hoping to find someone who becomes a trusted part of our kids’ routine and brings positive energy into our home.
If this sounds like a good match, we’d love to connect!
Please include a brief note about your toddler experience when applying.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Hoboken, NJ
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Hoboken, NJ
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Hoboken, NJ? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
