A little bit about us

Hi! We are looking for a nanny to join our family beginning in January! We have a little girl who is 4 who is currently in pre-school. I am also expecting twins that are due in February. So primarily I would need a nanny available a couple days a week to help me with the babies along with allowing me to run out and get some errands completed. We are looking for someone who is loving and kind. We want someone who really becomes a part of our family. We would prefer someone who could also help out with light housekeeping! It is important to us that you have your own car. Until January, we would love to have you a day or two a week / a weekend night to get acclimated and comfortable with us and our 4-year-old! We look forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about us

We are a couple in Marlboro looking for a nanny/house-helper to start by mid-February 2 days a week. We have a 2-month-old daughter. We both work mostly from home. Looking for someone experienced who loves kids and will: - care for our daughter unassisted for 2 days a week - light cleaning the house, laundry, keeping things tidy (we do have a cleaning crew that comes every month to do full cleaning, so these wouldn't be primary responsibilities but very appreciated help in between visits) - cooking is a plus but not required Hours: approx 2 full days per week to start. We're flexible and happy to discuss, something around 8/8:30am-5/5:30 p.m. makes sense. Opportunity for additional overtime hours during occasional "date-night" sitting as well. Pay range: $20-25/hour, depending on experience.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Marlboro, NJ

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Marlboro, NJ

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Marlboro, NJ? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
