A little bit about us

I have 2 children a 20 month old mason and a almost 4 month old Blaire. i’m currently right in between part and full time so my hours are roughly between 30-35 hours a week. My schedule is all over the place so i can work anywhere from 8 am to 7 pm. Only expectation is to clean up after self and kids and occasionally take them to do fun activities and get them out of the house. i don’t expect this daily but at least once a week even if it’s just taking them on a walk or to the park to get some fresh air.

We are looking for a trustworthy and caring nanny for our 7-month-old daughter, S. Care would be in our home starting in January. Occasionally the lady of the house will be resting in her room following an overnight hospital shift.

Our schedules are a bit flexible because the man of the house can work from home as need be. The typical week would be 4x per week @ 6hrs per day, M-F, 9a-3p. With a minimum of 20 hrs per week guaranteed.

Nanny must have experience caring for an infant, transportation, not smoke, be comfortable with pets (we have a friendly boxer), and preferably be CPR certified.

What is an Infant Nanny in Toledo, OH

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Toledo, OH? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
