A little bit about us

We’re looking for a calm, warm, experienced nanny to care for our infant (currently 8 months old). Open to a nanny share situation with the right family.

My husband and I each work from home so we’re searching for someone comfortable with that dynamic and meshes well with us (this point is very important). We’ll be busy during the day but will pop out and say “hi” every now and then. 🙂

About Us:
We are a close-knit family looking for someone who prioritizes our daughter’s comfort and sense of security. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and maintains a calm, gentle demeanor with plenty of patience and a smile.

Schedule & Pay:
30 hours/week
Typical schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-3pm
$24/ hour depending on experience and duties

Responsibilities:
-Full infant care (feeding, diapering, nap routine).
-Engaging in age-appropriate play (tummy time, reading, outdoor walks). We are a ‘no screen time’ household.
-Light baby-related tidying and prep (baby laundry, baby food prep)

What we’re looking for:
-Someone with proactive communication, is honest and reliable
-We value creativity and a sense of humor
-Extensive experience with infants (specifically the 6–12 month stage).
-Knowledgeable about infant milestones, nap transitions, and starting solids.
-CPR and First Aid Certified

If this seems like a good fit, please reach out and share more about your availability and specifc experience.

A little bit about us

Since our daycare shut down for the epidemic we are now at home with our little one. After having some time at home with him we are certain we want a nanny going forward.

Our little one is 8 months as of right now! He is a really chill kid, he eats a combo of solids and formula but working towards table foods as we are just getting our first teeth in! We want someone who is going to be able to play and do arts and crafts and work on walking with out little one. We would love some light housework like doing the dishes and maybe a load of laundry but Carter (our LO) is top priority. We are a really chill family and honestly he’s a pretty easy baby now! He lets you know what he wants but he doesn’t just cry for no reason. His naps are pretty good too, naps 2 times a day for an hour atleast each time. We are looking for 6 hrs MWTh (maybe Tuesday) 10am to 4pm to start and to expand that once we are back in the office to 40+ hrs. Reach out if interested! We also have 2 cats!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Lake Oswego, OR

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Lake Oswego, OR

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Lake Oswego, OR? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
