A little bit about us

Our daughter will be 6 months old at the end of September when we are looking to begin nanny care. Ideally, we'd like to have care 4 days (weekdays except Tuesday) per week from 8:00-4:30 PM or 8:30-5 PM. Our daughter is breastfed and is struggling to accept the bottle, and we are working on introducing the bottle to her through various strategies. We have the most success when allowing her to hold it and almost feed herself with it. We'd love a nanny with experience with bottle refusal. She is very curious, loves putting toys and fingers in her mouth, tries to sit up and stand with support, she enjoys looking at pictures in board books, tummy time and listening to nursery rhymes and music. We try to keep her engaged during playtime and take her out for stroller walks and carrier walks to get fresh air! In our household both parents will be working from home. We would appreciate some help tidying up, washing dishes, and prepping meals while our daughter naps.

A little bit about us

Hi! We are looking for part time care 15 hours a week (1 full 8 hour day on Fridays for 1 child and flexible 3-4 hours twice a week for 2 children). We have a 3 month old boy named Wells and a 2 year old boy named Graham. For the full day on Fridays, the only child home will be the 3 month old. There may be a handful of Fridays where the 2 year old is home as well but we will know those in advance and we can adjust the per hour pay on those days to account for the additional child. Additionally, we are looking for help 3-4 hours one day each weekend (flexible timing) and 3 hours of help one day during the week from 5-8 for both children. It would be a guaranteed 15 hours with the opportunity for more if your availability allows it. We have 1 dog in the home as well! The only care needed for him will be letting him out to use the bathroom and filling his water if he runs out. Our budget starts at $20/hour but that is negotiable!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Ardmore, PA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Ardmore, PA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Ardmore, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
