A little bit about us
I am on parental leave until January and have recently been cleared for exercise, so I’m looking for someone to watch Liliana a few times a week while I get back into Pilates classes.
This position would last from now until the end of December.
A little about you:
- You have availability M/W/F from about 9 am to 1pm (willing to be somewhat flexible here)
- You’re punctual; ready to show up on time and have your own mode of transportation
- You’re comfortable with dogs. Specifically a very small, very cute 4.5 lbs Yorkshire Terrier.
- Your caretaking style is to keep baby happy and healthy - making sure she is fed, well-slept and with a clean diaper. You’ll enjoy cuddling, playing, or reading to her during her wake periods and maybe taking her for walks around the neighborhood, weather permitting.
- You can share references; either from daycares or other nannying positions
- You would occasionally be free to babysit our 3 month old and 4 year old in the evenings for date nights.
A little about us:
- We are a family of 5, if you include our lovely little dog, Joey Buttons the Yorkie.
- Leo, is 4 years old and loves all things tractors and trains. Liliana is 3 months old and loves to smile, giggle, and go for walks outside.
- Both kids are very laid back and Leo’s teachers are always praising him for being a good listener.
- I (mom) grew up in Lancaster and Phil (dad) grew up in NJ. We lived in NYC for 12 years and recently relocated to Strasburg.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Strasburg, PA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Strasburg, PA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Strasburg, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
