A little bit about us

I need someone to help me with my young son while I work from home. They will not be entirely responsible for him but will have him most of the time. I work Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Some times you may be able to leave or not needed due to a holiday. I will expect the nanny to be at my home during those hours.

A little bit about us

Seeking full-time help for 1st time mom with Infant baby girl. Weekdays starting at 7:30am. Our daughter, Cherryn is super sweet and like to laugh and play.
She is 5 months old and is already trying to have conversations with us, rolling over, lifting her head, scooting, eating purees, and recognizes us, especially by following us through the house with her eyes. We need an honest, smart, punctual, clean, positive, creative, caring, capable and willing nanny that adheres to, at the very least, general safety and infant care basics. This nanny should be willing to engage our daughter, feed her, read to her, sing to her, change her diapers regularly, wash her dishes and clothes, etc. We are very interested in her safe physical, educational, and emotional development at the least. The right nanny shouldn't be afraid to help us with suggestions to make suggestions that benefit our baby's care and growth like a team. We are
ready to hire and accepting serious applicants only. Please contact us if interested. Rate and hours are eagerly negotiable based on experience and fit. Second language is a plus.

A little bit about us

We're a French/Australian family living in Brookland and are looking for a part time nanny to care for our lovely 6 month old girl a few days during the week. Days and exact hours are flexible (roughly 9-5pm) and we'd be willing to work with prospective nannies on a suitable arrangement. Ideally we're looking for someone French speaking, who would be willing to prep healthy meals and do some light housework as needed. We have a big friendly fluffy dog and work from home so will be around!

Please contact us with interest or further questions. Thank-you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Washington, DC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Washington, DC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Washington, DC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
