A little bit about us

We're proud parents of a 1 year 8 month year old bundle of joy. Since we both work during the day, we would love the help of an experienced nanny to guide our son's development! We look forward to getting to know our future nanny--especially if she has CPR training and can help with meal prep. Thank you!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a flexible, reliable nanny for our 2 boys (2 years old and an infant) in Rolling Meadows starting June 1.

Hours average approximately 80/month. Some weeks may be around 10 hours while others could be 20+ depending on my husband’s rotating schedule. We always know our schedule at least 15 days in advance. Some evening and weekend availability may be needed for now, though the schedule may become more consistent come fall.

Typical hours are weekdays around 8am–3pm. We’re hoping to find someone dependable, proactive, communicative, clean, and organized — someone who enjoys planning activities and helps keep play areas and items used throughout the day tidy before leaving.

Must have reliable transportation, be non-smoking, comfortable with pets, and CPR certification is a plus. Please message me if interested — we’d love to connect!

A little bit about us

Miss Daisy is a sweet baby that was born with CMV. This has led to hearing loss in both ears, and cysts in the brain that may impact development. I would like someone that's able to incorporate sign language, as that will be her main language. I need someone that watches her milestones and reports to us if they see anything concerning. She's a sweet baby, but she likes to be held.... a lot lol.

The job will be on going, there's no real anticipated end date yet

The first 10 weeks will be Monday through Friday7-330/4and after that Tuesday through Friday 10-330/4.
I want you to feel at home, as anyone caring for Daisy is part of the family.

We are against hate of any kind whether it's race, religion, cultural background, class, etc...
Gentle parenting for children and pets
She's a very cuddly baby and needs to be held lol she is in our arms probably 80% of the time lol

She will need help developing sign language, even if that just means watching YouTube videos together .

Experience with large dogs enough to read body language and signals.
Loving and patient care giver
Petunia- bulls mix that looks like dobby from Harry Potter. A fireball of energy. Obsessed with Hank but hates all other animals. Loves people and Daisy to death. Needs to be monitored (obviously) around Daisy because she has no concept on size and wants to live on her a little too much. She not needs to work on that more but she is extremely loving and sweet.

Hank- boxer mix (9% pit)
He is a Houdini. An escape artist with separation anxiety and completely attached to be in particular. An Angel In home but reactive and pray driven on walks. That won't be an issue since you won't be walking them. There's a yard they can chill and potty in but don't leave them unattended. Hank can escape anything lol.

We have a play pen thing for Daisy so you can play on the floor with her without worry.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Rolling Meadows, IL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Rolling Meadows, IL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Rolling Meadows, IL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
