A little bit about us

Hello, my name is Shannon Campbell, if you're the right lady for this job I am ok with paying you 20 dollars an hour and I'd need you from 2pm-9pm 1-2 Saturdays a month. My grandson Judd is a little over 2 and my granddaughter Brynnlee is 10 1/2 months old. Judd has recently started going pee in the potty although still isn't fully potty trained and he hasn't had a bm in the potty yet. Brynnlee is walking and they are both happy babies! You'd be going to my daughter and son in laws house. My daughter Alissa is a stay at home mom and she keeps the babies on a tight schedule. She also keeps a very clean house as well. When Judd was 9 months old he had his first febrile seizure. We were told that they are brought on with a fever. As Judd got older he continued to have febrile seizures brought on by a virus or infection that came with a fever. Over the last several months my daughter and son in law has taken Judd to children's mercy for several types of tests and recently it's been determined that Judds febrile seizures have escalated to epiliepsy ( they recently seen an epilepsy specialist and are moving toward a treatment plan for Judd. I know this all seems pretty extreme although there are definitely known conditions that we are aware of that have brought on a seizure and it's not a daily occurrence nor even a weekly occurrence. Right now because of the weather Judd can't play outside because getting over heated can bring one on, and or a fever. There is a protocol to follow if Judd has a seizure that my daughter can go over with you. Brynnlee has no health conditions and she is a happy active baby that follows her big brother around ( they're crazy about one another) Recently my husband and I got a new boat that we have at Perry Lake ( 15
min from their home) Naturally we can’t have Judd on the boat ( heat factor) We need a loving, intuative, lady that can easily stay calm and follow the prompts given in the event that my grandson was to have a seizure.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Perry, KS? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
