A little bit about us
(We are also looking for someone interested in babysitting on some weekends and evenings when things come up - it would be nice to build up our village a bit more!)
We have an almost 4-year-old and an 8-month-old. You would be with both as our 4-year-old gets out of school at 11:15 a.m. They are pretty typical for their ages.
The 8-month-old is crawling and standing every chance he gets so it's really important we keep an eye on what he's getting into!
For the regular sitter position: In addition to those days, if you happen to have more availability the other days, in the mornings, or wish to stay later than 3 p.m. there will definitely be weeks we need extra support given our work schedules.

A little bit about us
Monday - Thursday/Friday. 7/8am - 3/4pm. We can cover pick-up and drop off or are happy to have a nanny or nanny-share at our home.
We have a dog, but she would not be part of the responsibility, nor would there be any responsibilities apart from child care (no cleaning/cooking/laundry or any household work needed).
I’m exclusively pumping during the week and will have adequate milk in the fridge/freezer along with clean bottles ready and food snacks as we get into solids. We use cloth diapers during the day and will have a clean set ready each morning with disposables on hand, if needed for convenience. Arden takes her naps in her crib upstairs and has a play area downstairs where she take all her meals in glider chair by the fire. A high chair is also available for snacks as solids become more prevalent. Arden has a great nap routine and is very active when she is awake. She loves tummy time, going for walks/playing outside, and listening to music, songs, or stories before her naps. We are open to having a nanny come to our house; or to participate in a nanny share with just one other infant or toddler (at our house or another family’s). We have some flexibility in Arden’s care in that my mom is available most of the time as a back up and I work from home 2-3 days a week and can handle driving arrangements. Most important to us is working with a kind caregiver to help us set up a reliable routine close to home or in our home.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Amesbury, MA
If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.
What is an Infant Nanny in Amesbury, MA
An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.
Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:
- What is your specific experience with this age group?
- Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Amesbury, MA? Are you willing to be trained?
- How do you handle a crying baby?
- How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
- What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
- How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
- What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?
You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
