A little bit about us

We have a baby girl who was born at the beginning of June and we need in home care for her on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I’m a mom who works from home most of the time but go into office one day a week. We also have a two year old boy but he is in a Montessori program during the week until 4 pm. Our ideal nanny would be from 8 am until 6 pm, but we are very flexible. Light cooking for the kids and possible pick-up from daycare, other than baby care like diaper changing, feeding, laundry, library visits, education activities, etc.

A little bit about us

Hello! We have just had our first born baby boy. We are looking for a dependable nanny/mommy's helper for about 30 hours a week. My job allows me to work from home 4 days a week, as does my husband who works from home two days a week. We are looking for someone to help out with our little man during our working hours, so that he may stay close by as we plan to continue breastfeeding long as possible. We would prefer someone with experience with infants, open to doing light housework (few dishes and bottles), and comfortable around animals - we have a small dog and a cat. As long as the little one is being taken care of we are open to our provider having the ability to work on personal tasks, such as class work, while with him.

A little bit about us

We are currently exploring the option of a part-time nanny in the home instead of daycare! We have a sweet baby girl who was born in February. Mom works from home, but is not fully available due to her job, so an extra set of hands for all things baby would be amazing.

I would be looking for five hours a day five days a week, likely 10 AM to 3 PM, or something similar. There is some flexibility at this point, no pick up or drop off responsibilities. I have two cats, but they are auto fed. You may be asked to scoop the litter boxes, but that would be the extent of the pet responsibility.

A little bit about us

My husband and I will be welcoming our first baby into the world in December 2025. I'll plan to go back to work end of March or beginning of April (depending when baby actually arrives!).

My work schedule is somewhat sporadic, but we would, on average, need coverage for 2-3 days per week. Every sixth weekend, both my husband and I work, and we would need coverage then, as well (the weekend is Friday-Sunday). Hours would be 6:30am - 4:30 pm to account for my traffic to/from work.

We do have two dogs, one is large, one is medium in size. They are friendly, but they do bark. The perfect candidate would feel comfortable around dogs and be fine letting them out during the day (we have a fenced yard), and ensuring that they have their water dish refilled.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Burnsville, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Burnsville, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Burnsville, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
