A little bit about us

Our son, Theo, arrived 5 weeks early and we are looking for a nanny to help us during the day when my maternity leave ends starting in September! My husband and I work from home and will be available to help but are looking for someone to take the bulk of the day to day needs (feeding, diaper changes, playtime, etc) for our baby.

We do have 3 dogs (huskies and a Shepard mix) and would need someone to be comfortable with them but they would not be your responsibility as we will take care of them during the day. We do have gates in the house so limit their access to certain areas.

We are looking for someone to help care for Theo Monday - Wednesday 8/8:30am - 4pm. There occasionally might be 4 days a week we would need support.

A little bit about us

Looking for nanny to play with my kids every other Wed from 8-5 (start and end times may vary depending on your needs or scheduling). My work has potential to grow so it may increase to every week once we get busier. Also, with enough notice, I can change the day of the week to better suit your schedule.

Kids are ages 4, 2, and 5 mos and love to play outside, do crafts, and be silly. They love animals, trucks and milk (the baby, haha). We have a park right across the street that is easy to walk to.

Meal prep is super simple lunches (sandwiches, reheating leftovers, etc). No driving needed.

As of now my husband works from home so there is support if ever needed. His schedule can change too, and he may go into the office depending on need.
We have a dog, who is super chill and sleeps all day or can hang outside. No care needed for him.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Chaska, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Chaska, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Chaska, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
