A little bit about us

I work at a nursing in Duluth MM it’s short staff so that means I have to pick up extra hours. I have 2 sons Marlo which is 5 and zedekiah who is currently 4 months Marlo is a super energetic kid loves to play and build things zedekiah is super chill mostly and calm. The days I work is Monday - Friday 6 am to 2 pm I would need a nanny to put Marlo on the bus at 7:10 am he catches the school bus home 2:21 pm but it’s the summer time is coming you would have to make breakfast and a slight lunch

A little bit about us

We have twin girls who will be 5 months old when the position starts. They will need care 2 days/week for 4-6 hours between 9 and 5 while I work on our small farm. Days are flexible, preference for one early and one late in the week beginning in April and going through October. You will be responsible for caring for the girls only, though occasionally my 5 yr old may be home if preschool is closed. Light cleaning is expected (washing bottles, dishes after a meal, keeping changing stations tidy etc…) when possible. I will most often be on the property, and my farm hand and husband (working from home) may occasionally overlap with you as well. It’s a fun and relaxed atmosphere, with lots of animals and visitors to help pass the time.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a part time nanny who is willing to be flexible with scheduling. Our daughter is 7 months old. We are both nurses and work shift work, so hours would vary- being able to occasionally watch baby overnight would be ideal. We would need someone from either 6:25am-3:45pm or from 1030pm-8am. We do have 4 dogs, but could place some of them in their kennels while we are gone. Other duties would include letting the dogs out at least once during the day and possibly some light housework (dishes, baby’s laundry).

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Duluth, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Duluth, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Duluth, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
