A little bit about us

I have a 7 mo daughter named Amethyst, a 1 almost 2 yo son named Damajiae, and a 3 yo named Jaliyah. I would like for you to be able to come around Monday Wednesday and Thursday from 8-12:30pm. 12:30 is the drop off time for Jaliyah to be at preschool those days then you would be free to take an hour or two break we would work out that time. Then you would need to be able to pick up Jaliyah from preschool at 3pm and your shift would be done by 7pm. All three are still in diapers but if you are amazing at potty training or potty promoting feel free to do so. Tuesday and Friday can be open for discussion regarding times of work. Never work the weekends unless it's an extreme circumstances and you are available.

A little bit about us

Looking for engaging, loving care for our infant daughter at our home while Mom works from home downstairs. Take her on walks, sensory activities, work on tummy time, feed solid food as we introduce them, generally play and have fun. Monday and Fridays. 8-9 hour days. 7am(ish) to 4pm(ish)

No driving, meal prep or pet care (although there is a snuggly yellow lab in the home you would need to be comfortable with)

Light housework while baby naps is expected such as sweeping, vacuuming, putting away baby items, cleaning bottles at end of each day, etc.

We are doing this to give her more attentive care than she gets at daycare the other 3 days a week, and to help me (mom) to balance work and wanting to spend time with her by having her. The additional help to keep up on house work since we both work full time makes such a difference for us so we can come home and just enjoy being a family for those few short hours each evening before bedtime.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Hopkins, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Hopkins, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Hopkins, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
