A little bit about us

We are a Christian family and try our best to raise emotionally intelligent children. We are looking for a full-time in-home nanny Mon-Fri. We enjoy being outside and active! We are looking for someone that could potentially travel with us on occasional vacations or camping trips.

My kiddos love to play and have your attention. Looking for someone that has experience keeping a structured day and can come up with their own fun or learning activities for the kids. (We both work from the home.) We'd also help provide educational activities you can do with them, or fund anything you think would be beneficial to them!

We'd expect you to have reliable transportation to our house daily. We do not expect you to take our kids anywhere without one of us.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a great fit for our family to come for 8 hours a week on a consistent week day. We have our oldest son, Roman, who’s 2 and James who is 8 months. I’m a stay at home mom and will be needing help one day a week. My husband works a lot and I’ll need help with the children so I can run errands, clean, or if I have an appointment. As our part time nanny, you’d be furthering the social, emotional and academic development of our sons as well as keeping them entertained. Additionally, you’ll be making meals for them, putting them down for their naps, and cleaning up after them. You won’t be expected to clean the house in general or provide pet care in any way. We are looking for someone who has prior professional experience with infants and toddlers, someone who is reliable, and enthusiastic to spend time with our children. Ideally, we would like to choose the perfect fit and have them with us for quite some time so we are looking for someone long term.

A little bit about us

I am needing care for my 3 girls and baby boy. The two oldest are in school so they will be gone most of the time. They are all very easygoing with a good schedule. They love to read, play outside, and use their imagination. Flexibility is needed due to me starting a new job. I am a nurse. The first 5 weeks will be 8:30am-5pm. I will then start my 12 hour shifts so work will then be 3-4 days a week. Pay is negligible.

What is an Infant Nanny in Smithville, MO

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Smithville, MO? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
