A little bit about us

We are looking for someone to watch our baby boy (due April 2025) beginning in September 2025. 3 days/week from 9am-3pm. My husband and I both work from home, so we will be working upstairs during this time.
We have 2 older kids who go to preschool full-time. So they will not be home during this time.
We live in Lancaster City, so there are plenty of options for getting outside for walks and activities.

A little bit about us

Having a baby boy in mid-April. Starting to search for a housekeeping nanny.

She works from home and will need someone who’s interested in:
house cleaning
laundry
grocery shopping
cooking dinners
and watching after the baby while she showers, has a work call, or is doing a workout in the basement.

The majority of the work for the first few months will be house related. When he starts crawling it will shift to care giving/ entertaining the baby.

Hours are flexible and would be able to work with the right persons schedule to make it work.
Mid April- August while on maternity leave looking for ~ 15 hours a week.

Starting in August ~25 hours a week may need to adjust based on workload needs once returning.

Must be a dog lover as her 30 pound hypoallergenic Australian labradoodle will be home as well.

What is an Infant Nanny in Rohrerstown, PA

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Rohrerstown, PA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
