A little bit about us

We have our son Rowan (4) our daughter, Iris (3). I am looking for help during the day while I am home with the kids or on an activity or outing with them where I need an extra hand and an extra Set of eyes. I have a baby (7mos) but I wouldn’t need help with him except maybe holding him for me every now and then. Our kids are well mannered and sweet and they are needing help with potty training as well. Your duties as the nanny would be to basically be a mommas helper. Most the time I would be there. Occasionally you may be with them alone. You may be asked to help with dinner prep, do a light cleanup, help get them into their car seats or help me get them dressed or fed. Transportation is a must. I will be doing the driving once you get here, but I am unable to pick you up or drop you off. We do have pets. We have two schnauzers and two cats. The cats stay in the basement out of the way, but the dogs are upstairs and they are friendly.
The schedule will be different each week and is a part time thing (5-20 hours a week)

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Stansbury Park, UT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
