A little bit about us

I work at rio tinto kennecott I work a 5-5-4 schedule 5 days on 5 days off. During that time I work 13.5 hour shifts and would need someone to care for my child while I am at work. I do shift work which means I would work 5 days working from 530am to 7pm. And for 5 days I would work 530pm to 7am. And 4 days on days 530am to 7pm, and rotations continue as such. During the days I'm off I would continue care. My husband also works currently and travels for work he can be gone from 5 days to 20 days at a time. We would need help possibly dropping off at preschool we are looking into options the one we are looking at start 7am and we would get more info later. If not we would need someone to watch and care for baby throughout the day feeding changing burping playing and caring for our son. We would need someone to care for our two kitties and make sure food and water are down everyday. Occasionally we might ask to help clean the kitty litter. Very minimal house work, just clean up after self. We are looking for someone who can be flexible with their schedules as it would be overnights for 5 days at a time. And we would have breastmilk pumped for his food.

A little bit about us

My wife and I work from home. We have a 3 month old that we want to stay at home rather than go to daycare. We just want someone to come in and help keep an eye on here from about 8:30 to 3:00 during the week. For now she'll be sleeping about half the time but we just want someone to engage with her as she starts her learning and world exploration (even though it's mostly just from her back and stomach). We'll both be available quite a bit through out the day for any support but mainly need help during those times while we both have meetings and are working.
Tammi is very sweet so far and not much of a crier. We also have 3 very friendly dogs that can be engaged with or left alone, they like to hang out with us in our offices as well so they are available for play when desired but we don't need them to be watched after other than to not be bothering Tammi too much.

Need someone who can watch my 4 month old at my house while my husband and I work. I would love someone who is energetic and interacts with my son. We have a frenchie, so must be comfortable with dogs - you don’t need to care for him, but he will want to say hi.

Position would be Tues, Wed, Thurs from 10-2, but a flexible schedule is a huge bonus.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in West Jordan, UT

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in West Jordan, UT

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in West Jordan, UT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
