A little bit about us

I’m in nursing school and every couple of months I have 3 weeks of clinical hours that I need to do at a hospital. I will have a young baby, an 18 month old and a 3 year old at home. I also have a 5 year old but she will be in school most of the time, maybe an hour or less at home. This is a very variable schedule so I need someone that is willing to work with me even though it’s not a lot of consistency. If this ends up being a really good match it will transition into a consistent part time job upon graduation. My 3 year old will be in preschool so you would be responsible for getting him to and from if you are working on the days he has school. My oldest would need help getting out the door in the morning. The school is across the street so you would walk her to school.

A little bit about us

Hello my name is Hope,
I am a new mom to a baby boy named Jasper. I have a full time job and my husband works full time as well. I am looking for some one to watch Jasper maybe 2-3 days a week we are thinking Thursday and Friday. The hours would most likely be 8:00 am - 6:30 pm I don't have a ton of expectations besides just loving on him making sure he is clean and fed and keeping things Tidy. We do have a blue nose pitbull her name is MJ she is kennel trained and can stay in her kennel all day no obligation to her if you want to let her out to go pee that is optional. She is sweet and playful and is also vocal.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Layton, UT

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Layton, UT

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Layton, UT? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
