A little bit about us

We are a fun-loving family in Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, with one baby under 3 months old (and small < 20 pound schnoodle dog). We would love to find a nanny who can stay with us for a year or more as we continue to build our life in Boston. We would greatly value someone with 5+ years of experience as a nanny or raising children themselves, particularly with newborns, who can teach us a few parenting tricks along the way. Ideally, candidates bring great energy, ideas to engage and entertain babies through their toddler years, in a way that will help them reach milestones and find joy in every day.

Both Mom & Dad have full time jobs and hours would likely be Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm with flexibility to work extended hours (but we’ll provide the additional hours well in advance).

Responsibilities include: napping, feeding, preparing meals, laundry, light housekeeping, planning activities, dog walking 1-2x a day, and occasional errands with kid (picking up groceries).

Targeting start date: Early January 2021

A little bit about us

We’re looking for a caring, dependable nanny for our wonderful 5-month- old daughter. She’s a true joy— curious, happy, snuggly, and easy-going (except when the fomo kicks in at nap time!). We’re hoping to find someone for a long-term position (ideally until she starts preschool) for 15–20 guaranteed hours per week on a consistent schedule. The specific days and hours are somewhat flexible (preferably a mix of morning/afternoon spread across 4 or 5 days M-F); the exact schedule will be determined with the right candidate.

One parent will usually be working from home (though not always), so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently while a parent is elsewhere in the home.

We’re looking for someone who values responsive, attuned caregiving and enjoys engaging infants through conversation, play, reading, music, movement, outdoor time, and other age-appropriate activities in a screen-free environment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Loving, attentive care for our daughter
- Age-appropriate play and developmental enrichment
- Feeding, diapering, naps, and maintaining her routine
- Light baby-related tasks optional (baby laundry, bottles, tidying toys)

**Qualifications:**

- Infant care experience
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Non-smoker
- Up-to-date vaccinations
- Excellent references
- Comfortable around our friendly medium-sized dog

**Details:**

- Start: ASAP
- Pay: $25–35/hour, depending on experience and responsibilities
- Payroll (W-2) position with guaranteed hours; PTO and other benefits to be discussed

If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us a little about yourself, your experience, and your availability.
