A little bit about us
My husband and I both work full time but I have a less traditional schedule so we’ll only need part time. Not sure the exact days of the week yet but likely a half day either Monday or Tuesday and full days Thursday and Friday.
We have two cats and one dog so pet friendly folks are a plus.

A little bit about us
My husband is in plumbing and I am starting a new job at a veterinarian hospital so our schedules can get busy! Our daughter has several severe anaphylactic food allergies, so being comfortable administrating an EPI pen and being attentive to possible reactions is a must.
Our daughter is fun, she is loving, and so full of energy and imagination. We would love for a creative, outgoing and nurturing person to become part of our little family.
Hours and pay: M-F $18 to $20 an hour. Schedules will vary but not any later than 7 p.m. as I am getting my schedule at the hospital soon. All of this can be discussed during interviews. Please reach out to chat or schedule an interview!
Requirements:
Experience and recommendations.
CPR certified.
Comfortable with animals.
Comfortable with curriculum as our little girl is currently homeschooled.
Comfortable using EPI pen should the need arise.
Non smoker.

A little bit about us
Our son is almost 16 months old and is really independent! He’s a great sleeper - only naps once a day typically 12-2:30. He’s also a good eater - we did baby led weaning and occasionally he just doesn’t want to eat much of the meal, but usually eats really well! He’s a pretty balanced walker at this point and loves to run around!
We have multiple play areas in our house toys/games and our front porch is large w/ outdoor toys and a water table. We have a nice front yard area where you can play in a little beach tent and have options for baby pool and sprinkler on hot days! We also live right next to Charlotte park where there’s a playground our son loves and he also loves to just walk around or play on the basketball court. With a safe driver and once we are comfortable - we are open to letting you drive our car with our son to the library for story time or other fun activities nearby!
-There will only be light housekeeping - cleaning up meals, picking up toys, maybe a little laundry, but nothing big! He naps usually 2-2.5 hours so there’s some cleaning then, but you can definitely take a little break for sure!
-We like to follow the research and our parenting is really focused on communicating with our son consistently, setting boundaries and holding those, validating his feelings, supporting his problem solving, etc. But we are also totally normal too and not perfect with this!
- We try to set it up so our nanny is really happy as well so communication is huge. If there’s something that you feel like needs to change to be better for our son etc. we are always open to feedback and want to make sure you are happy in your role as well!
-We are looking for someone with experience with young toddlers and CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to get)

How much do nannies make in Nashville, TN?
What are the typical responsibilities and duties of a nanny job in Nashville?
Nanny responsibilities can vary depending on the specific needs of the family you're working with. However, common nanny duties include childcare tasks such as feeding, bathing, and changing diapers, as well as other tasks like cooking, cleaning, and helping with homework. If you're looking to find a nanny job in Nashville, consider the range of activities that the city has to offer. For example, you may also be asked to take the children on outings to local attractions like the Nashville Zoo, the Adventure Science Center, or the Nashville Public Library's puppet shows. For a more detailed understanding of nanny responsibilities, we have a dedicated page you can reference.
How does the nanny interview process work in Nashville?
The nanny interview process typically begins with a phone or video call, followed by one or two in-person interviews. Some families in Nashville might also request a trial period where you spend a day or a few hours with the children before making a final decision. During these interviews, you'll likely be asked a range of nanny interview questions to assess your experience, skills, and fit with the family. It's also your opportunity to ask any questions you have about the role, the children, and the parents' expectations.
What is a nanny contract and why is it important?
A nanny contract is a formal agreement between the nanny and the family outlining the terms of employment. It typically includes details such as hours of work, salary, overtime, vacation time, job responsibilities, and termination conditions. Having such a contract is crucial as it ensures both parties have clear expectations and can help prevent potential disputes down the line.
What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Nashville?
If you are hired as a nanny in Nashville, it's important to understand how nanny payroll works. The family you work for is legally considered your employer, and they are responsible for withholding taxes from your salary and paying their portion of employment taxes. Many families use a nanny payroll service to handle these responsibilities. Regarding the salary, nannies in Nashville can expect to earn an average salary that is competitive with the rest of the country. For more specific information about nanny salary in Nashville, you can visit our dedicated page.
How do background checks work when trying to find a nanny job in Nashville?
Most families will require a background check before hiring a nanny. This process typically includes checking criminal records, driving records, and references. The purpose is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. If you're searching for a nanny job in Nashville, it's a good idea to be prepared for this step and have your references ready.
