A little bit about us

Our first child will be born this July (end of the month) and we are looking for part-time or shared childcare to support us when I go back to work in late October. He will be 3 months old. Our schedule is currently flexible; if we are not sharing, most likely it will be from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm three or four days a week (15-20 hours/week). If it is shared, we could go up to 40 hours a week, 9-5 or 8-4 Monday-Friday.

We are looking to keep this arrangement at least until he is 6 months old in late January and possibly until he turns 1 in July next year when we will be looking at full-time daycare. If it works out great for everyone it could be longer.

We have one dog who is about 3 years old, she will be going to daycare twice a week from 8-5 and otherwise would be home. We are both hybrid workers but I primarily work from home. So, for a shared arrangement, ideally it would be in the other family's home, but our home has enough space that we could remain separated. For the part-time arrangement, my husband and I would aim to work outside the home on the days/hours the nanny was working, and would stay in our office while the nanny was there if we did end up working from home.

We prefer a non-smoker with reliable transportation who is okay with (ideally who likes) dogs. CPR and First Aid certification is a requirement. As our son gets older, we would like a nanny who has a sense of developmentally appropriate activities like playing outside, crafts, games, books, etc. versus relying on screentime.

The only responsibilities would be related to childcare, but a little light housekeeping related to the baby like washing bottles, emptying diaper pail, or light tidying up before the end of the day would be asked.

A little bit about us

My son will be born in late July and we’re starting to explore nanny share options. I’d like to start November 1 when he’s 3 months old and I go back to work. (I work hybrid, mostly from home, but would probably go into the office more frequently if we hired a nanny and hosted at our house). Ideally we would arrange a part-time schedule (30 hours a week) as I plan to go back part time at first and then full time (40 hours) starting in January.
