A little bit about us

Outdoorsy Family Seeks Outdoorsy Nanny | North Durham | Treyburn | Full(ish) Time | 3 Day Work Week

We are a connected, loving pod of 3. We have the most curious, charming 1 yo son

We need you Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8a-6p and we’ll guarantee 30 hours per week. Our ideal start date is early January.

Our family leans towards the introverted side, but we are super connected to our family and dear friends in the area.

We are looking for a nanny who is into planning engaging activities and loves wandering in nature. We are outdoorsy people by heart and want a nanny that will foster that love of fresh air and exploration in our son. We want to feel supported and empowered by our nanny, and we will support and empower you as well! Please be ready to become part of our family and be ready to grow with us! Infant experience would be a bonus!

Please be self-motivated and self-directed with your time management. Dad is away during the day and Mom is mostly away but does work from home some. Either way, you’ll be running the show during the days you’re here. We would love help with tidying our kiddos things, kid laundry, and kitchen up-keep, organization and preparing healthy and kid-friendly snacks and meals each day. We are looking for a team player to help us keep things under control, and who also takes direction well.

You will need your own vehicle and a safe driving record. We'd love our little boy taken out and about to the park and museums.

Please be ready to be loved by our fur babies! We have two medium/big dogs and a playful cat. They will be your besties!

We are social distancing and want to be on the same page as our nanny. We are wearing masks and making conservative choices about our movements in the world. A nanny who is in line with this way of thinking is right up our alley!

We are offering $17-19/hr, depending on your experience.

We’d love for you to start with us in early January.

A little bit about us

We’re having a baby in September! With older children and mom heading back to work in January, we need help! Our weekly schedule would entail joining the family I’m the morning to care for the little one early on, then being responsible for care throughout the day. Periodically we may need a pickup for the older girls, who attend school and activities outside of the home. Both girls are helpers and excited to welcome their baby sister. Their activities range from volleyball to music lessons, so we don’t anticipate them being home often during this time.

Only weekdays will be necessary, and the hours will likely range from around 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. We would also like to have an orientation phase before mom heads to work.
