A little bit about us

We’re looking for a nanny starting in March for our little boy who will be 8 months old at that time.

We’re a fun-loving, close-knit family from the Midwest, but have called Seattle – specifically Belltown – our home for over a decade. Our light-filled condo has great views of the city and Sound, a rooftop deck, and is just steps away from the Sculpture Park, Seattle Center, Pike Place Market, etc. – perfect for heading outside for walks and playtime with our son, Bodie! He’s a healthy, happy baby who is obsessed with tummy time (but just started army crawling!), exploring his first solid foods, and flashing you a 2.5-tooth grin.

We both work full-time, primarily from home but occasionally go into the office. I’m breastfeeding and would love to continue nursing Bodie as my meeting schedule allows.

We’re Offering:
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week; ideally 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. M-Th, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Friday (flexible to 40 for right fit)
• 3-month commitment with long-term opportunity
• $26-28/hr depending on experience
• Paid through payroll service
• Free, secure parking in our building (also easy access to bus lines)
• 2 weeks PTO plus paid holidays and sick time
• Early March start date (flexible to April for right fit)

Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience with babies
• Fully vaccinated (COVID, Flu, TDAP)
• Current Infant CPR and First Aid certifications
• Non-smoker/vaper
• Clean background check and excellent references
• Fluent in English

Ideal but not Required:
• Early Childhood Education degree (or currently in school)
• Experience in Montessori or Waldorf

Responsibilities:
• Baby care including feeding (bottle and baby-led weaning) and cleaning up after, diaper changes, laundry, tidying up toys, naptime
• Engaging kid in age-appropriate activities e.g., reading, music, independent play, walks
• Light housework during naptime: loading/unloading dishwasher, taking out trash and recycling (that’s it!)
