Annsally F. - Seeking Work in Vista

As a teacher and an "always learning" advocate, I am looking for a family that ascribes to "early and always" learning for their children. My philosophy involves making interesting learning materials available to kids and avoiding the two extremes of (a) frustrating them by pushing them into areas where they don't have aptitude or interest; and (b) limiting them by underestimating just how much they can learn, and how fast. I enjoy doing lots of outside activities with kids... being as creative as possible when coming up with a wide variety of activities including music, dance/movement, art, drama, history, food, math, science, reading, language skills... incorporating any educational material into a form of play or discovery. In addition to this, I feel it is very important that children respect themselves and others by encouraging good manners and participating in volunteer projects... finding opportunities to be grateful. I know some Spanish and I am at the beginning level of learning Hebrew. I like to spend Friday evenings together enjoying a special family meal for the Shabbat... schmoozing... with coffee and dessert! My favorite chef is Einat Admony. Her preparation of Mediterranean street food with a gourmet twist is extraordinary! I take my position seriously, with full accountability for cleanliness, organization, cost of goods, quality of product and with values of excellence. For me, it is a constant quest--to do better, develop techniques, find ways to extract more flavor, find superb new ingredients from local artisans, and refine the balance of harmony in flavors. I also have a thriving passion for fitness and healthy food and do not eat pork or shellfish. I like to work for families that shop at Whole Foods and Trader Joes... I like to work for families that like to eat healthy food! I anticipate being devoted to the growth and development of your family. Introducing fitness and healthy food to children in a fun way can make a big impact in their lives and involving children in food preparation not only allows them to be comfortable with food, but it can also develop intellectual skills, such as math (measuring and estimation). I collect recipes and ideas from Delicious, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and Saveur magazines... searching for something new and creative for the next meal! I like to work with a predictable yet flexible schedule and to maintain good and transparent communication with the family and would of course, compile the menu with the family's desires. I can accept constructive criticism, and am patient, caring, and flexible. With the housekeeping, I like to use Martha Stewart's methods and checklists. When I was in high school I was on the swim/diving team and still love to swim. I was also on the tennis team. I am working on my fitness trainer certification with NASM and would like to live in an area where Israeli folkdancing is available. I really like Yafo-Israel, a trip through the shuk, Idan Raichel's music, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, gar'denology, gorgeous wood floors, lavender and blue cape plumbago! I would also like to work in a place where there is the availability of intellectual pursuits and farmers markets.... I am an experienced teacher/chef who is energetic, nurturing, and creative, and loves working with kids. I have a teaching background, strong academic credentials, and love drawing, arts and crafts, imaginary play, biking, swimming, and music (piano, guitar, djembe). If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to email/call me! B'tayavon! Annsally

I started babysitting while I was in high school. I use to babysit for family and friends and I loved it! After high school I became an assistant for xx Daycare for 9 years. At xx Daycare I would watch infants-10 years old. When the company closed I became a nanny for 3 years. My nanny job was working for three families. My morning nanny job was watching a 3 year old. In afternoon nanny job was picking up two kids from school they were 7 and 9 years old. I would help them with their homework and do light house keeping. My evening nanny job I would have the child stay over night with me. I would prepare dinner for him than get him up in the morning ready for school. When I was no longer needed due to the children grow up and started school. I went back to school and study Early Child Development. I attended Palomar College and MiraCosta College. Since than I have worked in the infant room at xx, I worked at xx Program ages from 5-10 years old., x ages 3-5 years old. and Montessori Schools I've worked in the infant work, toddler room ages 1-2 years old and the pre-kindergarten room 3-4 years old. I love each and everyday I get to go to work with infants and children. I get to teach, love and take care of all the beautiful babies and children. I love my job!

Hello beautiful families! I'm Nathalia! I'm 30 years old and I'm Brazilian, so my first language is Portuguese. I'm a college student and my major is Child Development. I actually already have a degree in Advertising and Marketing from my country, but I decided to start a new field in the U. S. I really love to be around kids, so I decided to learn how to help these little ones to build a better world. I truly believe that we can change the world through education. I've been in the U. S. for almost 5 years and since then I have worked with children. Besides these 5 years in America, I have 2 years of experience in Brazil as well. I have experiences with kids from 3 months to 15 years old. I'm currently taking care of a sweet and energetic 7-year-old boy and a teenager. I've been working with this family for almost 4 years. I'll stop to work for them in July because they only need me part-time. I'm getting married and I need a full-time job. So, I'm looking for a wonderful family to start on July 23rd (flexible). I'm available to talk on the phone or in person, whatever is the easiest for you. References available upon request!
I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Nathalia Alves

6 yrs of experience

Hi! My names Chloe and I've been nannying for about 7 years. I started young, at 10 years old, when I was the full time babysitter for my neighbors' 2 kids. About 2 years later, when I was 12, they had another child and they made me full time nanny. I was with those kids almost everyday after school and on the weekends until they moved to Grand Rapids in the fall of 2015. After that, I did a lot of on and off babysitting jobs, as well as a semi-long term nannying job for a family with one 12-year-old girl. Currently, I work at a day care where I care for infants and toddlers all day everyday. I am Red Cross certified, and will be getting my certification renewed in August. I will also have attended 10 hours of training classes in child development by early August. I am planning on moving back to California in mid August to be closer to my family and am looking for a job ahead of time. I love the daycare scene, however I am ready to move back into the private nanny field as that is what I’m most comfortable with. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message!:-)

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Vista, CA?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
