Victoria B. - Seeking Work in Saint Petersburg

Full-time hours

I am a Florida licensed CNA / Patient Sitter working part time for many years (over 10) through a office. I am most frequently assigned to protective, medical and routine child care jobs for children at a local children s hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. I am also Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certified.I like children. For personal sitting assignments; I understand their developmental needs and wants at different ages. I do follow provided instructions and directives for each assignment. For personal care assignments; I believe that the parent's written explicit instructions are the rules to follow. On a typical child sitting assignment; I may need to cook and feed the child, change diapers, assist with controlled medical conditions (epi pen or diabetes check, etc.), sing songs, play lots of games, work on homework, constantly supervise for safety and get them to sleep on time. I believe in providing service excellence for the family in all assignments.

2 yrs of experience

Aloha! My name is Alyssa. I am 27 years old, and was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I moved to Florida in 2005 to further my education and opportunities. Over the past years I have been attending the Art Institute of Tampa. Striving to obtain my Bachelors degree in Business & Fine Arts, as well as working as a caregiver when I was not in school. I've recently unenrolled from school and currently reside in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

I have years of experience working as a caregiver! Throughout high school I took early childhood education classes, and was also certified in first aid and CPR. I've also worked for many daycare centers, and families.

In 2009, I was hired to manage a childcare facility at Electra Health Club & Spa in Palmetto, Florida. I worked there until 2013. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the original owners of Electra were forced to close the business and I decided to seek employment elsewhere.

Thankfully I found an amazing nanny job when I moved to Riverview, Florida in 2014. I worked for a family with three boys. They were 1year, 6years, and 9years old. I worked Monday - Friday, typically 50 hours a week. I was required be at work at 6:30am to feed the children, drive them to and from school & practices, care for the baby while older boys were at school, clean the house, do laundry, tutor boys after school, bathe the children, and run errands. I constantly would take the children to various parks, libraries, museums, amusement parks, and beaches. I loved going on adventures with the children, and made each experience educational, and fun!
The family I was working for unfortunately moved out of the state & I had to seek employment elsewhere.

In the fall of 2016 I moved to Miami. I worked with a lovely family and watched their 9month old daughter and 4year old son. The 4year old son had autism. I had experience working with children with disabilities prior to working with their family. I watched their children Monday through Friday from 7am-6pm. I was responsible for dropping and picking up their son from preschool, as well as taking him to physical and occupational therapy multiple times a week. While their son was at school, I would tend to their daughter as well as do light house work and occasional errands. We periodically went to mommy and me classes, story time at the library, field trips to the park, as well as children museums.

In 2017, I moved back to Pinellas county to continue my education and expand my opportunities. It saddened me to part ways with the last family I worked for, but I have faith I will find another wonderful family to work with! I have a plethora of experience working with children of all ages and can provide letters of recommendation if need be. I am an extremely adventurous, creative, educated, responsible, and reliable individual. Working with children is and always will be an immense passion of mine! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to set up an interview. Thank you for your time and consideration!

I'm also a housekeeper while I work as a nanny, which helps parents to have an easier life getting back from work. I have very good references that you can talk with to know me better. I'm available full-time during the weekends and after 2:30 p.m. M-F. I don't have my own car, but here in Saint Petersburg, I have a bicycle in which takes to everywhere.
