The Shverdin Family - Hiring in Fayetteville

Fayetteville$16/hr  |  2 kids
We are looking for a nanny for our Two very sweet and energetic kiddos ages 13 months and 2 years old. Currently looking for Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 5PM and MWF from 2PM to 5:00PM.

The 2 year old is just starting to become potty trained and talks up a storm :) she loves to color and run around outside. DANCING and SINGING 24/7 are her favorite activities. Her schedule is the following: She wakes up every day around 7:45AM, eats around 8:15am (goes to school MWF till 12) (Lunch) than naps from 1:00 to 2:30 or 3PM, dinner 5:30 and bed around 8PM. (healthy snacks in between)

Our 13 month old's schedule is a little different in terms of nap but eating is the same.
He wakes at 7:15am Naps at 10:30am then again around 3:30PM (or after a fun day at the playground and stoller ride back) and finally bed around 7:45PM. He just started walking and loves going for a stroll around the neighborhood. He is all about cuddles and giving kisses. He has a very curious nature and points to everything wanting to know what it is. Reading is a wonderful thing and the kids enjoy books, but both tend to try to take over the activity. :) As far as TV we ask that the caregiver does not use it for the kids during the time they are watching them (if kiddos are sleeping please help yourself to TV)

My husband and I work from home and need a nanny that can share in kids energy and loving nature. Duties include playing with kiddos, walking to the playground in the neighborhood, possibly accompanying mom/dad to music/tumble or swim class (need two adults: 1 adult per kid still deciding on classes), preparing light snacks and or lunch and just tidying up after the kids. We would like someone with experience watching toddlers and is a proactive thinker safety wise with the kids. Our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, getting to the playground requires a lot of attention to the kids. (Driving the kids is still not determined)

Look forward to speaking!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Fayetteville, GA

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Fayetteville Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Fayetteville? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Fayetteville?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in GA? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
