Hello awesome parents! Welcome to my profile! I have 8 years of experience as a nanny/early childcare educator. I am cpr and first aid certified. I am also EEC certified for infants, toddlers, preschool ahd pre-k and i speak French fluently.

I like to plan projects and get the kids involved in developmental learning activities such as painting, reading, singing, coloring, making art projects and creating cardboards.I also love the outdoors. On a typical day we might go for a walk or to a library class, or to a play date that i set up, or to the museum.I love to plan a curriculum and pick out themes that we learn about by reading books and making activities based on it. For example if the theme is ocean, we can mix whipped cream with blue food coloring and create our own.

Currently i am a preschool teacher at Children of America however; i am looking to go back to nannying. I am looking for something long term! Thank you for reading and i hope to speak with you soon!

I have taken 10 courses in Early Childhood Education and Administration. I have also completed two student teaching assignments, one with preschoolers and one with infants. I am Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher Certified by the state of Massachusetts. Aside from my student teaching experience, I also have experience volunteering with young children and I have worked as a teacher in a child care center for the last 8 months. I also have experience working with multiples as there have been times at my current job where I am alone with 3 young infants throughout the day. I have experience writing and implementing simple lesson plans for infants (playing with bubbles as a sensory activity, crinkling up tissue paper, rolling balls on the floor, tummy time, etc.) as well as more in depth ones for toddlers and preschooler. I believe that children learn through play and at their own pace.

I currently nanny for a 5 month old in Milton, however this job will end soon as her moms work schedule changes. I have about 15 years experience as a mother's helper/babysitter and over 10 as a FT nanny for 4 children. I worked with the same family from when the oldest child (now 17) was about 1 year old. I just finished my FT work with them this past summer as the youngest child began kindergarten. I have experience caring for up to 4 children at the same time.

I started off as a Mother's Helper when I was fourteen years old for a summer. I babysat for that family for about a year. I started a new babysitting job the following fall for a family friend. Her son at the time was 10 months old. Her older son, eleven at the time, would visit for the summer and I would watch him as well along with his friends. Fast forward 5 years, she had another baby whom I started watching when he was a month old. He is now four. My relationship with this family has been very rewarding.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Randolph, MA

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Randolph Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Randolph? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Randolph?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in MA? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
