Hello Families! First of all, I'd like to share my extensive child care experiences with you. I've baby sat with many children before I became a mother of my own. Sometimes bbysitting up to 5 little ones at once! Then I met my husband Don and we started our family I gave birth to 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I have been a stay at home mom with them for most of their lives. We've had a few medical emergencies, and I know how to keep my head in those situations. For years I've been certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. Also, I've home schooled my children for a period of 2 years. Now, we have the sheer delight of being the proud grand parents of two sweet grand children! As my children were growing up, I was asked to babysat for many children in my home throughout the week. The youngest child was a newborn, the oldest was 10. I did that for a year. After that time, we decided to make a difference in children's lives by becoming Certified Therapeutic Foster parents. During the next 8 years, our home was lovingly open to approximately 30 high risk children, both boys and girls. Most of the time we cared for 3 foster children as well as our 3, totalling a household filled with 6 children at once! It was crazy but fun! Their ages ranged from 10 months old to 18 years. My husband Don and I underwent 8 years of extensive studies to keep us abreast of the related issues concerning physically and sexually abused, neglected, and emotionally damaged children. We've also assisted them in coping with their abuses, helping them learn personal hygiene, and help them acquire life skills to prepare them for adulthood. We were part of a great team that was very involved with individual plans for each child that included appointments to doctors, psychologists, dentists and home visits. We also took an active part in school issues. We were honored as Foster Parents of the month at our annual Christmas banquet. More recently, I have been a full time professional, live out nanny for the past 5 years. My first postion was in Charlotte, caring for 3 young pre school age children. Their ages were 3 months old, 18 months old and 4 years old. As you can see, I love little ones, I always have! We've enjoyed being outdoors in the fresh air - going for daily walks, swimming and biking. My little charges and I have enjoyed day trips to the Aviation Museum in Charlotte, visits to Roly Poly, Monkey Joes, and the Lazy 5 Ranch. We've even been to the Mall to see Santa and the Easter Bunny! We've also enjoyed going to lunch with other children, and have had many playdates. I love playing tea party and dress up, baking cookies, reading books, painting and coloring, playing cars on the floor and playing with playdoh As a person, I'm very sensitive to their little needs, and enjoy meeting them quickly. I really love watching them explore and learn! My main concern is to make sure they are safe, loved, and content. I feel privileged to be able to make a difference in the lives of little children!

I have been watching children for nearly 15 years. I've been a nanny in Charlotte and Lake Norman for four years. I was recently with a family with 4 children. One of the children had autism, and one was a new born. I am no stranger to hard work and multitasking. I have watched children for many years and have a great success rate with families and helping children become the best person they can be. I also have experience being a preschool teacher. I utilize my experience as a teacher to implement fun and developmentally appropriate activities.

The first family I was with has two kids,10 & 12. I worked from about 2:30 until midnight 4 days a weeks. I helped with homework, fed them dinner and took them to baseball/dance. During the summer I worked longer hours. I was with them for a little over a year. They out grew me. The second family had two boys, ages 4 and 6.when I started, I worked from 3 to 8 M-F. I would pick them up from school and feed them dinner and then put them to bed. During the summer I worked 8-8. I was responsible for dishes, laundry, an taking care of their pets. This was a race family, so many weekends I would have the boys all weekend as well. They ended up moving, so I had to end that job. I love becoming such a big part of the kids' lives. I would love to stay with a family long term.
