I have baby sat children since I was in High School off and on, for people at church or family friends. An example of what I have done would be when I was in my second year of college I started babysitting for a family from my mom's work. The family had a 1 year old and a 3 year old at the time. The family and I worked out a schedule around my classes and their needs. I would arrive at their house around 7am and watched the girls till aound 3 or 4pm, unless they needed my longer. The girls are now 7 and 9 years old and have a little sister that is 3. I still watch them when their parents need my help but it is only a couple times a month, if that. A typical day with the girls, when I was there 3 or 5 times a week was to make sure they got up and had breakfast, brushed their teeth and got dressed. Then we would make their beds and start our day. We would usually have some kind of craft or art activity to do during the day and we would go outside and play, if the weather was nice. On occation we would watch a movie. They also liked to play in the house, so we sometimes made forts our of sheets and blankets and played. If they were good and the weather was nice we would go to the park and play. I made sure that they had lunch and cleaned up their toys they got out during the day. On Friday or Saturday, once a month, if they had a good and had clean up their toys, we would go to Dairy Queen and get ice cream or went to Walmart or Kmart and they got to pick out something they would like, that was under $5. If I watched them at night I would make sure that they had dinner and baths. That they brushed their teeth, got ready for bed, and clean up any areas that were messy that they played in. I would make them go to bed when they were told and make sure that the kitchen table and the dishes that we dirtied were clean and put away. Now that they are older and I don't watch them that much, what we do depends on the needs on that given day. We still have a night routine for going to bed though.

I have been babysitting since I was twelve and worked at a child care center throughout highschool. I was also a nanny for four years with one family the first year and the same family for three years. As a nanny, my priority is ensuring that your children are safe, happy, and well cared for. We would also do many fun activies such as arts and crafts, reading books, going to the library, zoo, and Children's Museum. I have also gained much more experience now that I have an 8 month old son of my own. I am comfortable feeding, diapering, bathing, and familiar with all aspects of caring for young newborns and infants.

I started out when I was younger babysitting local families in my community. I later volunteered at a daycare in my hometown for a couple summers. When I was old enough to get a job I worked summers at the pool in my hometown. Here I taught many swimming lessons to younger kids both group and privates. When I went off to college where I am perusing my career if elementary education, I started working at a daycare. I have been at the daycare for almost a year now where I work almost everyday.

As an older sister, I helped my mother care for my sister. I started baby-sitting at the age of 11. I took baby-sitting courses and CPR and First Aid classes as well. In August of 2005, I started to work at Child Development Center as an Assistant Teacher in the Toddler 2 room. I worked there for about 7 months. While I was working there a family asked me if I would like to nanny for there two boys and infant on the way. I was with the family from Febuary 2006 to August 2007. I did return to the same daycare and position in August of 2007 until February 2008. I am currently a stay at home mom and I have my own In-Home Daycare.
