This age kid they need to pay attention on them, so I always keep my eyes on them. Because they are curious on everything. I spend whole year with them. My daily work, cooking twice a week, do the laundry, clean after kids eat and play I will let them know how to clean after playing toys, Mandarin tutor read and write, drop and pick up kids from school, take them to lib or zoo every week, bath them. For young one, i need to change his diaper, feed him. Another family who is a American family, they have three kids, their kids ages are 4, 7, 9years old. I only need to prepare the breakfast in the morning, then drop off to and pick up them from school bus stop. Then prepare some snack, and help them finish the homework, play soccer, go take walk to farm, lib, ride bikes, until their parents home. sometime help with dinner. Then I got marriage, and left them. After these families I also have part time job in NYC. There is a family from another city, they was visiting in the city, couple month ago, they needed me for looking after their three kids, 4, 6, 8 years old, then the parents could hang out shopping or have dinner. Children and I, we had great time. When they left, they said when they came back they would call me help them again, cause the kids love me. Then one month later, they came back, and I helped them. Also, before I came to USA, I have to have enough experience about taking care of children. Then American family will let me come to USA from China. When I was in China, I helped my mom's friends or my family, they have kids, and also my mom work in kindergarten, so when I have time I will help them to take care of kids. My name is Natcha. I am Thai, and 27-year-old. I'm currently a college student, studying in New York. I have lots of experiences with children of all ages. I used to take care of toddlers before I came to the US. I came here as an Au Pair and I used to look after 4 children; 2 boys and 2 girls; aged 7, 8, 13, and 17. My responsibilities were doing their laundry, driving them to different activities, cooking, entertaining them, doing art work, helping them do their homework, reading stories to them, doing some light housekeeping, and running some family errands. My second year in the states I was a live in nanny for a 13-year-old girl. I mostly cooked, drove, did laundry, ran some errands, and took care of her throughout the day. The current family that I'm working for has 2 boys who are 1 and 4 years-old. I've been working for them since the baby was 3 months old. My responsibilities are providing meals, getting the boy ready for school, driving, creating activities for after school, and taking care of the baby. As much as I love my current job and the kids I'm taking care of, I am moving to Queens, NY. So unfortunately I can no longer work for them. However, I am also very excited to work for a new family. Getting to know new people is always a fun experience so I am looking forward to our first meeting! (I've also worked as an on-call babysitter for many families in the Fairfield county area.)

I worked as a teacher for 15 years and I found that working with them gives you challenge everyday. Giving children activities that will help them develop their potential is the challenge that I love to experience with them. I worked with children for so long and I found out that each one of them are different and it's up to us (parents/caregivers) to be creative and patient to respond to these challenges to help them become a better person.
