A little bit about me
I recently moved to the Poughkeepsie area to explore some of the opportunities here in New York and for volunteer work.
I have several years of experience providing child care for family members and friends. I have experience caring for both infants and school aged children. However, the majority of my experience comes from caring for my niece who has lived with me and my family since she was about one.
In addition to childcare, I can assist with housework (cleaning, laundry, light cooking, etc). I can also do drop offs, pick ups and other transportation. And I can help with homework/projects. Think of me as an extension of your family!
Regarding activities, I like to play games, go to museums or go to the park. However, I am happy to do any activities you and your children enjoy.
I hope that after looking over my application, you’ll consider me for you and your family’s care. I look forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about me
My name is Jenny. I am a mom of 6 kids and offer nanny care strictly in my home. I have 4.5 acres of woods for all to explore and enjoy. I offer much time outdoors. On not so nice days we do a lot of in-home activities such as arts and crafts, music, occasional age appropriate shows during quiet time, ABCs, Numbers and much more. I offer lunch but do ask kids are provided with anything they would need such as formula, breastmilk/etc as I do not provide that stuff. I can care for 2 or 3 kids at a time. I will have a NB but once baby has grown up I can accommodate up to 4 kids at a time. For more information please feel free to contact me. We are located just outside of Pine Bush.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Pine Bush, NY
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Pine Bush Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Pine Bush? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Pine Bush?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NY? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility.
