A little bit about me
I’ve grown up around younger children, including helping care for my younger brother, which has given me hands-on experience and a natural sense of responsibility. I am currently pursuing a degree in biology, and I’ve taken several anthropology and psychology courses. I love encouraging reading in young children, as I believe it plays a vital role in their development and imagination. I also enjoy cooking and baking, skills I’ve developed from a young age, and I’m comfortable preparing healthy meals.
During the summer of 2024, I conducted research focused on children’s health, further strengthening my commitment to supporting children’s well-being and development.
Thank you for your consideration!

A Little Bit About Me…
Spanish is my first language, and I speak it fluently. I also understand and speak English, even though I have an accent; I always do my best to communicate clearly. I enjoy caring for little kids, especially ages 3 to 4. I can help with playtime, snacks, naps, and keeping the space clean and safe. I’m calm, respectful, and always pay close attention to the children I look after. I also believe good communication with parents is very important so they always feel informed and comfortable.

A little bit about me
I have been working with kids for more than 7 years, as a nanny in Germany and an AuPair here in the U.S.
I was an AuPair from [phone number hidden] here in the U.S. for two different families, this experience made me realized I want to work with kids. After my program ended I went back home to Germany. There I worked for a lovely family and their sweet daughter, we created such a special bond. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to each other when I left Germany in July 2021, to return to the U.S. to become an AuPair again. I loved the first time so much I want to do it again. This time I worked for a family with 4 kids under 5, including 2-year old twins and an infant.
I absolutely love caring for children, exploring the world around us, going on adventure and creating a strong bond.
All the kids I cared for have a special spot in my heart and always will. My dream is to open my own in-home daycare one

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in West Covina, CA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
West Covina Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in West Covina? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in West Covina?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
