A little bit about me
My name is Kathryn .
I will start with saying that I have three children, all grown and on their own now. I also have one granddaughter.
I actually started taking care of children way back before I even had children of my own. From the age of 13 on I took care of children and it just felt pretty natural to me.
When I was raising my own children I started doing daycare in my home. Friends, family, neighbors and people from my church. I then became a foster parent in San Diego where I mostly took care of fragile infants in crisis situations.
After moving to Riverside County I went back to school to get some units in Early Childhood Studies. Then I worked for the school district as a sub aid. I finally got hired on as a special programs aid, but when budget cuts came , positions like mine were first to go. I loved this program it was great. I did not want to go back to a teachers aid so I started taking care of children but this time in their own homes.
