A little bit about me…

Hi, I am 25 years old and I have been a nanny for 7 years now. I started babysitting since I was 16 and always loved it so much. My favorite things to do on my free time are working out and spending time with my husband. I love food so I love trying new restaurants in town.

A little bit about me…

Hello, my name is Maritza Mena and I'm 38 years old. I'm an Arizona native:) I speak fluent English and Spanish. I've worked with many families, cared for children of all ages. I first began babysitting in high school for extra money. Eventually, families referred me out to their friends, then friends of their friends. I really enjoy being a caregiver!

A little bit about me…

My first job was a nanny job and I have great memories from it. I took care of a baby girl from newborn to about 3 years. Still keep in contact with mom and daughter. I am a mother of 2, enjoy the outdoors, and traveling/hiking. The best part of being a nanny is being able to teach, have fun, and bringing trust to the parent/child.

A little bit about me…

I love babies and children of all ages and have always worked well with them! I started babysitting at the age of eleven, and have been babysitting ever since. I have also been a part-time/summer nanny for several families for the last five years. At age twelve I started helping a foster mother with her foster babies (she often had up to four at a time, and many with special needs) and I ended up spending almost every weekend in high school helping her out when she needed it. Through foster care volunteer work I have learned how to take care of babies and children with special needs, allergies, developmental delays, and other needs. I have nannied/babysat for families that have as few as one child to as many as six children; I have also nannied for a family with multiples. I have been CPR certified since I was eleven, and my certification is constantly updated and renewed. My most recent certifications were issued in April 2010 and will expire April 2012. These certifications include Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and Choking Certification and Child Health Care First-Aid Certification. I was certified through United Mesa Fire Fighters, and the above certifications are in accordance with the American Heart Association and the Department of Health Services. Copies of certification will be given to you upon request. I have taught two semesters as an assistant Preschool and Kindergarten teacher at Rainbow Montessori School in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am a college student at Arizona State University, where I just finished up my sophomore year. I am an Early Childhood Education Major, and plan to become a Kindergarten teacher after graduating. I am obtaining my major through the iTeachAZ Professional Program at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State. I just obtained a minor in Family and Human Development at Arizona State's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. As is required for all teachers and childcare providers in the state of Arizona, I have a Fingerprint Clearance Card that is issued through the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety. It expires in 2017, and if you wish to obtain a copy of this as well, just let me know and I will be more than happy to send you one. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and browse through my information, I look forward to hearing from you!
