A little bit about us
Seeking a trustworthy and mature part-time sitter to watch ONE child (age 3) maybe 4 hours a week/occassionally and/or THREE children (ages 3, 10, & 12) 8+ hours a week.
Additional hours/days needed occasionally for date nights.
An ideal candidate is energetic, kind, fun, creative, patient, trustworthy and responsible and has experience with toddlers through adolescents. Experience with with special needs a plus.
Should also be a good role model, use sound judgment, and conduct themselves professionally. Being able to multi-task and prioritize children's varying needs is essential. (Our older two are very helpful with the 3 year old--and he's also pretty laid back--but they like to have fun and build a relationship with their caretaker as well).
Our children enjoy crafts, music/dancing, imaginative play, swimming, movies, playing outdoors, board games, dolls, and other fun/creative activities.
Light/quick/easy cooking (kids meals, snacks) and basic clean-up is expected and appreciated. Childcare would be primarily at our home, but a clean driving record is expected in the event of occasional outings and/or school pick-up is ever needed. (Of course compensation would be provided for gas and any extra expenses when applicable).
Our previous sitter(s) graduated and moved away, but one was with us for 4 years (another also grew close over the course of a year) and both were like a part of our family. We hope to find someone new we can grow to be just as comfortable with! Please reply if you think you're our person!

A little bit about us
We are seeking a caring and dedicated respite caregiver for our sweet and energetic 6-year-old boy in Fairport, NY. Our oldest son is a very active, happy boy who is autistic, has ADHD, and is non-verbal. This position would include playing and providing supervision while we are at home to assist with increased engagement and safety as well as providing supervision and 1:1 support while we are out in the community as a family. We are a family of 5 with 3 boys (ages 2, 4, and 6) and as a family we enjoy being outside, going hiking and to playgrounds on the weekends, going to the beach when the weather is nice, and going to community events. We would love to do even more activities (the zoo, Seabreeze, the Strong Museum of Play, etc.) with the support of a respite caregiver. In order for our son to be successful at these outings we need extra eyes and hands to supervise him and provide the care and attention he may additionally need (help with staying with us as a family, waiting in lines, etc.). We are looking for someone to be with us for some after school hours, weekend hours for family outings in the community, and extra hours during summer and school breaks. We are so looking forward to meeting you and bringing you in to be a part of our family and our amazing son’s life to help enhance his quality of life.
