A little bit about me
While completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology I was able to take courses in child development and was immediately intrigued by how children develop from embryo to adolescence. This sparked a passion for child development and I began my work in a kindergarten classroom where the focus was play based and the children were their own leaders or mini teachers. From here, I started to work with older children more specifically one little boy with Autism. We worked together one on one for a year through modification of academic, emotional and social aspects within the classroom setting.
Outside of the education system I found myself caring for a 6- month old and had the wonderful opportunity to watch her grow not only physically but socially and emotionally as well until 2 years old. From here I had the opportunity to nanny for 4 months as a live-in in Los Angeles, California, caring for a family of two children aged 15 months and 3 years old.
Child care aside I find myself happiest when I am helping others. I am a compassionate and loyal person who values integrity and honesty to the utmost. I believe in my strengths as a childcare professional but am always open to new learning and different perspectives.
I am looking to join a family and become apart of your household.
