A little bit about me
absolutely love caring for babies and is very knowledgeable about newborn-care. My passion for babies started with my own experience of caring for babies in my family. Her personal experience with babies influenced her decision to become a newborn care specialist. One of my greatest quality is my ability to adapt to the needs of every parent and baby. I am certified in adult, child and infant CPR which ensures parents the safety of their baby in the event of an emergency.
If hired as your newborn care specialist I will be there to answer your non-medical questions and offer an extra set of hands for your family.
You should hire me as your newborn care specialist because of my personal and professional experience with babies. My main priority will be to ensure the best care for your child.

A little bit about me
My name is Sabrina Buxeda. I am 25 year old, fully bilingual teacher and care taker. I have been in the education field for 5 years, 3 of those teaching k-3rd grade and 2 of them teaching elementary and middle school. I have a bachelors from Wheaton College with a concentration in education and hispanic studies and just graduated with a masters at Harvard in education as well.
In my free time I enjoy being active in nature and if wanted, i would encourage the kid(s) to play outside, stay active and challenge them cognitively - while having fun and feeling motivated.
My schedule availability would be weekends and M-F from 5pm forward. However, my partner, Alejandra (CPR certified and with a BA in psychology and also experience in caretaking has full availability.)
Light house work, meal preps, picking up children from school (walking) and Spanish speaking if wanted is offered!
Please reach out with any and all questions.

How to Hire a Weekend Nanny in New York, NY
Nanny Lane helps you find a weekend nanny in New York, NY who fits your family's schedule. Browse profiles of nannies who are available on Saturdays or Sundays, then message the ones you like.
We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.
What Is a Weekend Nanny?
A weekend nanny cares for your children on Saturdays, Sundays, or both. Some weekend nannies work every weekend, and others are available for the occasional weekend when you have an event, a trip, or a work commitment. Many have another job during the week, so they are often flexible about shorter shifts and one-off dates.
Common Responsibilities of Weekend Nannies in New York, NY
Weekend care looks a lot like any other nanny job: supervising play, preparing meals and snacks, getting children to activities, and keeping to nap and bedtime routines. Because weekends are often busier and more active, you may also ask for help with outings, birthday parties, sports games, or family errands.
What to Consider Before You Hire
Be clear about the days and hours you need, whether the schedule is regular or occasional, and how much notice you can give. Rates and pay rules, including how weekend hours are paid, vary by state or province, so agree the details in writing and consider using nanny payroll to keep it simple. If you only need a few weekends a year, say so up front so nannies can plan around it.
Weekend Nanny Interview Questions
Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:
- Which weekends are you available, and how much notice do you need?
- Do you work every weekend or only occasionally?
- Are you comfortable with outings and activities, and with driving the children if needed?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
- What rate do you charge for weekend shifts?
At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
