A little bit about me

I'm an artist and former preschool art teacher. My childcare philosophy originates from my own childhood; I want kids to be able to experience the same joy and wonder that I was given as a kid. I truly love working with children, and they love me too!
I easily relate to children because I know how hard it is to be in a tiny body with a brilliant brain that barely understands this big wide world. I want to show kids that they are not alone and that they have someone who is fun and understanding to look up to and lean on, while giving them the structure and support to grow into the best versions of themselves.
I will warn you: I have blue hair now, but I promise that it doesn't affect my ability to work! I'm very flexible with hours but occasionally sell my art at markets, which I would let you know about in advance. I would be a fantastic addition to your lives and as long as my work and time are valued, as I value my time greatly and will not waste it in a toxic environment.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught preschool art lessons and worked as a tutor for young children at a daycare, which was a lot of fun. Additionally, I regularly watch and care for my 4 year old nephew who loves to play and go on adventures!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor-- singing, dancing, making art, playing with toys/games, reading books, doing science experiments

Outdoor-- playing on playgrounds, going for walks/adventures, going on treasure hunts, playing with toys or balls, making things out of natural materials (flower crowns, weaving grasses, paint from rocks or flowers, etc)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Children are out most precious resource and the future of humanity. Its paramount that we expose them to the right things growing up-- like compassion, understanding, empathy, joy, enthusiasm, fun in learning (play), authenticity, communication, and healthy lifestyles.
