More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
18 years of experience as a professional nanny. Ages 0-9.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Getting down on the floor and playing with anything they're interested in while guiding their attention to activities that will help them develop new skills.. Kids learn thru playtime and modeling. I love reading books, doing sensory play activities, arts and crafts, singing and dancing. I enjoy taking trips to the library, indoor play places, playdates. When the weather permits, I love going on walks and trips to the park.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is keeping the children safe. Establishing boundaries to ensure their safety at all times is the utmost priority. Making them feel cared for and loved is equally important for them to feel safe and develop a secure attachment relationship.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have many! But one of them is seeing them use baby sign language as early as 9 months old and being able to communicate with them before they're fully verbal. One particular anecdote is a time when one of my kids was around 14 months old, and after having a great lunch, I offered her a banana and she didn't want it. I assumed that meant she was full and ready to go play. However when I started getting her out of the high chair, she started fighting it and was about to start crying and protesting, but after about 10 seconds she stopped herself and I saw the look on her face processing that she didn't need to do that, all she had to do was sign and she signed strawberry. Of course at that moment I realized that she refused the banana not because she was full and done, but because she wanted strawberries instead. I gave her the strawberries and we were both equally happy to have been able to avoid a meltdown that would've for sure happen if we hadn't had signing as a tool.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Phoenix, AZ: Annette L.
Hi! My name is Annette, and I have been working with children since I was 16 years old. Caring for kids has always been something I’m passionate about, and it’s a big part of why I’m currently in school to become a pediatric physical therapist. I love helping children learn, grow, and feel supported in a safe and fun environment. In my free time, I enjoy painting and pottery, which allow me to be creative and bring that creativity into activities with kids. Working with children is something I truly love, and I hope to continue doing it for many years to come.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Phoenix, AZ: Katharine B.
I just graduated from the University of Arizona and will be moving to Scottsdale soon. As far back as I can remember, I have been enjoying working with children and providing them with a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere in which they could have fun, learn, and develop. Although my childcare career is relatively new, I do have some babysitting experience working for friends and relatives and taking care of the children's schedule, meals, homework, and entertainment. I am patient, responsible, and committed, as well as like to establish good relationships with children of all age groups. I have a valid driver's license and a car, I am able to offer picking up and dropping off children from school, accompanying them to various activities, running errands, etc.
Furthermore, I am very creative and organized due to my background in design. I would be glad to meet you and take care of your little ones!
