I have been caring for children for as long as I can remember. In most recent years I was a caregiver for a child for 3 years. I have experience in behavioral therapy setting with children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring the outdoors and staying active with kids through gross motor play and outdoor adventures. I also enjoy incorporating everyday learning and life skills into activities, such as cooking and baking, gardening, arts and crafts, and other hands-on projects. I love finding activities that match each child’s interests while encouraging creativity, independence, and having fun!
My experience with special needs children...
For the past five years, I have worked with children with a wide range of disabilities and varying support needs, including providing assistance with daily care and medical needs.
More recently, I have worked as a Behavior Technician supporting children with autism. In this role, I help children develop functional communication, build independence, learn appropriate coping and emotional regulation skills, and navigate everyday routines. This experience has given me a strong and well-rounded skill set that I can apply to nannying, including providing individualized care, following routines, supporting developmental goals, and adapting my approach to each child’s unique needs.
Working in this field has strengthened my patience, communication, problem-solving, and caregiving skills while teaching me how to create a positive and supportive environment for children and their families.
