Hi! My names Adele Wilkes, I am 17 years old and am homeschooling this year. I am a social justice advocate, artist, athlete, animal lover, and kid lover. Being with kids and being able to be a good role model to them is something I value a lot. I was the youngest and had brothers so when I had a girl babysitter I felt like I had a big sister to look up to. These girls shaped who I am along with my own individual experiences with people which lead me to childcare where I mostly practice gentle parenting methods while keeping the boundary of being the one in charge of their safety and well being. I love being outside and am looking to go to college for social work or sociology to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at some point. I want to work with people in poverty, kids suffering from abuse, abandonment, grief, sexual assault, and more. I love to travel and ski in the winter and surf or wakeboard in the summer. My love for kids is rooted in love I have for my youth and curiosity
