I am Alejandra Lugo, I am 24 years old and I am a psychologist I graduated in April last year in Colombia, happy with my career and psychology lover, I have two years of experience in human resources which allowed me to fall in love even more with the career and expand my knowledge, after graduating I decided to start a process of cultural exchange as an au pair, I spent a year in the program and decided to continue climbing and look for another position to make more money and start my master's degree in human resources, to pay my college I worked for three years in Andres Carne de res as a recreationalist, waitress and host. There I had the opportunity to meet many children and interact with them a lot, I was a nanny for a girl for a year and we still talk often, then I started living in New York and I was in three families unfortunately my first two families quit the program but the last one was with me for about three months everything was an experience that made me grow up.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently teaching Spanish classes to some babysiters I have, in college I was an assistant to my professors teaching some psychology subjects and supporting some classes and I decided to do the same with my language and so far it has been a success, I also do makeup for a long time "face painting" and I do it occasionally for special events.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy cooking, going to museums, and supporting their basic educational processes from homework to school projects.

At home we could do something as simple as putting together a jigsaw puzzle or cooking a tasty recipe.
Outside we could go to the park and jump rope or play a sport.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the parents of my babysitters begin to see the importance of learning another language and start with something as simple as saying hello and goodbye in Spanish, eventually their children will include me in their life as their birthday party or everyday things that may happen to them.
The best memory I have was when we went to Central park with one of the kids I took care of and he started to love nature because I taught him the importance of connecting with trees and now he replicates that in his school.
