Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I have volunteer at the YMCA for a year and have worked and I’m currently still employed at the YMCA in the child care department. Where we teach our students values for example the four cores: Respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty. We help with afterschool homework, offer physical activities, and do projects whether it’s arts and crafts or cooking projects.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…As a person I am very outdoors I love nature I love going on hikes, picnics at the park, and am super animal friendly so petting zoos and animal shelters. I am also a dancer and go to the gym daily so being outdoors and physical is something I encourage. I love to paint and do arts and crafts with children so it enhances their creativity.
The most important part about being a nanny…The most important part about being a nanny is to ensure the child feels protected and loved. That he/she is learning and having fun. To help fill in things the parents can’t because of work or other related things. To set a positive lifestyle for the child.

My experience with special needs children…I have only worked with a few special needs children with in my years of working with kids. It could be challenging, but they are no different. I encourage them to have fun and teach the new things just like any other child.
My favorite nanny moment…It wasn’t quite a nanny moment but as a leader I worked for time off school year around at the YMCA. It was a bittersweet moment seen the kindergartners get promoted to first grade. I had helped them get there and knowing they weren’t going to be in my class the following year was a bit emotional. But also knowing that the parents would think me constantly and give me recognition was heartwarming.
