More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a volunteer preschool camp counselor at my local YMCA for three summers while I was in middle and high school. From there, I started volunteering in their infant room multiple days a week. I have also worked in my previous church's infant and toddler rooms twice a month for about 4 years. Aside from these positions, I have also babysat for numerous families since I was 12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love finding crafts, especially ones that are themed for any holidays or seasons. One of my favorite things to do is finding cool and fun places to bring kids where they can socialize with others and we can change up our scenery. I also love reading to kids, cooking with them, and dancing while listening to music.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure the children are able to thrive in their milestones while also making sure they have fun while doing it. I love finding fun, creative ways for kids to work towards their goals and watch them achieve it.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a younger sister who is austistic that I have helped care for since she was a toddler. This has helped me be patient as well as learn skills such as sign language.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would have to be anytime I arrived and the kids would be so excited to see me. It warmed my heart anytime I saw them get a big smile on their face as I walked through the door. A more specific favorite nanny moment would be when I was watching the kids from the first family I nannied for, and they said that I wasn't their babysitter but I was their big sister. I was so happy that they saw me as a part of the family.
