My experience with special needs children...
I was trained starting at the age of 16 in behavioral therapy and child development. That is when I started caring for two autistic children from two separate families. I continued my studies and in my work as a preschool teacher did have several children with different ableism’s. I was also a full time caregiver for my elderly step grandmother who had Lewy body dementia/Alzheimer’s and aphasia.
