I also worked as a childcare associate at VillaSport, caring for children from 6 weeks to 13 years old in a play-based setting. Prior to that, I was a tennis coach for kids ages 5–18, focusing on skill-building and confidence. The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a rainy afternoon when a toddler I cared for asked to “paint the weather” while watching raindrops race down the window. I spread out paper and washable paints, and together we recreated sunbeams, clouds, raindrops, and even a rainbow.

I watched as she dabbed bright yellow, swirling blues, and dotted gray rain on her page. Her eyes lit up with excitement, pride, and pure joy. When she proudly showed me her masterpiece and said, “Look, I made the weather,” my heart soared.

That session wasn’t just about art—it was about creativity, emotional expression, and building confidence. It reminded me why I love being a nanny: guiding little ones through discovery, celebrating each small victory, and sharing warm, joyful moments that spark curiosity and connection.
