A little bit about me

I have over seven years of experience in childcare, including babysitting, nannying, and preschool assistant teaching, along with training as a student volunteer firefighter/EMT. There's nothing more fulfilling to me than watching children grow, learn, and succeed! I believe in limited, low-stimulation screen time and lots of time outdoors. I also believe kids thrive when they feel included and accomplished. One of the ways I foster that is by teaching age-appropriate household tasks and involving them in meal preparation. Beyond typical nanny duties, I've also taken on: laundry, meal prep, light housecleaning, playroom organization and decluttering, selling or donating outgrown clothing, and pantry organization. I'm currently working toward certifications in early childhood development and emotional regulation through IMPACT Northwest Center for Kids and BKC-OnDemand. Due to allergies, I'm looking for a pet-free home.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started babysitting seven years ago as a fun way to earn money on weekends. A couple of years later, I was asked to nanny for a family friend, and since then I've taken on three other long-term nanny families. It's been bittersweet moving on from each one due to relocations, but I've gained so much from every experience. I also spent six months working as a teacher's assistant in a preschool, and over a year at a children's art center. My current job is as a nanny for a family of three children, ages 1, 2, and 5. I will be available once I relocate. I will update once I have a confirmed move date.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories is with a sweet one-year-old who loved ducks! When spring rolled around, I took him to a nearby pond to watch the ducklings waddle around with their mommas. We made it a weekly outing and got to watch the little ducks grow!
